Julie Harris

Artistic Statement:

Having not painted since school, Julie took up watercolours at the age of 40 and spent several years painting landscapes in many beautiful areas of the UK.  An enthusiastic amateur gardener, she then discovered botanical painting, quickly became hooked and now mostly paints floral subjects.

Biography:

After taking a series of short courses with botanical artist Elaine Searle in Holt, Norfolk, Julie completed the Society of Botanical Artists’ Distance Learning Diploma Course, graduating in May 2014.  She was then invited to apply for membership of the Iceni Botanical Artists.

Exhibitions:

In 2013 Julie took part in her first botanical exhibition near Holt, Norfolk, with other members of the group run by Norfolk botanical artist and tutor, Elaine Searle.

Julie exhibited with the Iceni Botanical Artists for the first time in 2014.
