I have always loved and cherished the freedom of the natural world. For me painting flowers is just a natural progression from gardening and growing things. I have always painted in watercolour. I love the way that it glides over smooth paper and the layering of washes. It doesn't always go right but that's the challenge and there is always inspiration and something new to learn.
In 2014 I survived the Society of Botanical Artists tough diploma course, and since then my work has been selected for their exhibitions, which is fun!
